As part of SCARF's anti-stigma program, various campaigns are held regularly in schools, colleges, factories and other work places.  A film  “In dignity” exclusively for this purpose has been screened in over 60 schools and colleges.

School Mental Health Programme

In collaboration with the Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development, SCARF has started a School Mental health Programme. This was formally inaugurated by Mr. Kutralingam, IAS on October 5th 2007 as part of the activities of the World Mental Health week. Booklets in Tamil and English for students, teachers and parents were also released. Copies can be obtained  from SCARF.

Over the next few years, schools in Chennai will be offered  a series of 6 workshops on the following themes:

5. Overview of psychological problems in children

6. Effective parenting.
