The Project
We are starting a 3 year research project from May,'08 to evaluate the benefits of community based care for people suffering from schizophrenia in India (COPSI). This is a collaborative project between leading academic institutions in India and England and is funded by a prestigious Wellcome Trust grant. The work will be conducted in Goa and Chennai and will be managed by 2 reputed NGO's- Sangath (www.sangath.com) and SCARF (www.scarfindia.org ).

Requirements
We are looking for candidates who have completed their Masters in Psychiatric Social Work or Clinical Psychologists to take on the role of Program Coordinators at these sites. This is a crucial position where you will be expected to provide clinical leadership, coordinate all aspects of the conduct of the trial and manage a large team of community health workers and the research assistants. You will need to have worked in teams before, have excellent writing and communication skills and be computer savvy. Prior supervised, clinical exposure in mental health services will be an added advantage. You will be supported and supervised closely by experienced senior Psychiatrists and will report to them.
